hi...
i just was at your show @the boulder theater thursday night.You are truly amazing.....goose bumps really.i doubt you remember but a few years ago we had some drinks at the Chicken Bone in Burlington, Vermont after you played at the Flynn with lucinda... i think we were with jim the drummer too...then my friend Jake rescued me... dammit. i will be doing some work in SF and LA in sept-nov if you need any landscape design
let me know and keep up the good work!

hi again... i realized the above was a weak attempt for what i really wanted to ask ...so i wanted to try again...ok here goes..
hi i saw you last week at the boulder theater and when i was listening to you playing i remembered dragging you and the drummer to the Chicken Bone in Burlington a few years ago( i think it was fall 2001?). And unfortunately was "rescued" by my friend jake just before things got good or bad depending how you look at it. i remember having a good time chatting with you and i want to be touched, moved and inspired in my life. I also want to be with people who are up to something. Your music is amazing. I design gardens and landscapes and my dream is to create comfort, joy and beauty by creating places for people to "be who they be" all over the world. i will be in LA in the fall for work and would love to get together with you for a cup of tea. i would love to talk music and plants and possibilities.so what do you say? i know this is a funny place to put this

Doug,

You are really an inventive guitarist. I haven't been so excited listening to a record/CD -as live at the Fillmore -since, maybe the great days of late 60's. Won't embarass you by making comparisons to JH, but your in the same league for sure

Hey Doug how the hell are you? I've been following your career since the Something's Fishy daze. Happy to see your success. I'll be catching you & Lucinda at the Greek later this year. Can't wait to get your album. The West Gate sounds awesome! Keep up the good work and see if you can talk Lucinda into throwing in the "trilogy" every now and then.

Dougie has his own album AND website!! Took my husband to a Lucinda concert in St. Pete a few years ago and all he could talk about afterwards was Mr. Pettibone's guitar playing. So we traveled from Florida to New Orleans this spring to see you two at HOB. Y'all were FANTASTIC, and so was Tim Easton (um, does Bob Dylan have a son he never knew about?).

Just ordered my 5th CD (birthday gifts for everyone this year) and we are loving every song you recorded. Give us more!

I've heard you many times, w/ Flan, & w/ Lucinda. Even talked about pedal steel w/ you at Quail. But you take over on her last studio CD & her live double CD. It's kind of like Robin Trower. He didn't sing, just played guitar, but they were HIS albums. Lucinda writes & sings, great in both cases, but yr guitar make the CDs almost into Doug Pettibone CDs!!! Terrific stuff. Lotsa diff guitars. Lovely. Hope to hear you w/ Tim later this yer.....

Seen you last night at Paradiso Amsterdam with Lucinda. It was a great concert, love all your guitars!!! Thanks for playing in the Netherlands on my birthday!!!!! Thanks to Lucin'and the rest of the band too.
Seen you both in the House of Blues in Las Vegas sept. 2005. Was a great show too but Lucinda hardley spoke to the audience then, yesterday she was (High on Holland?!)much more fun!!!
