Welcome
Happy New Year everybody! 2006 was great. Lets see where should I begin. First I have to stop and kiss myself....Ok..here we go..I toured North America, The Netherlands and the UK with Lucinda. I did a US duo tour with Lucinda and a handful of shows with Lucinda and her father Miller Williams. I also toured the states with Ray LaMontange and performed on Conan and Leno. Oh yeah, I went toe to toe trading riffs with Bruce Springsteen at a show in London. Did that happen or did I dream it Enough already about the live stuff....lets move on to the studio. Worked with Sting, Richard Thompson and Van Dyke Parks and the new Lucinda record. Well thats enough reflecting for now. Lets look toward the future! Oh yeah I almost forgot Lucinda`s road manager Jim and I met two aliens ( outer space aliens) in Amsterdam last fall.

Have been waiting for your site to be finnished. Wanted to say I really enjoy your guitar playing. I too am a rock guitarist and have been playing for over 30+ years and maybe as you know the older you get and grow with your instrument the less you find people who are inspiring.(atleast for me) I have to say that your playing has touched me deeply in my heart and I think its wonderful to have discovered your talent. I drove 200 miles to hear you and Lucinda in Medford, OR. Bought your CD after the show. As I was almost home, driving through farmlands it started to rain. "Jolene" was playing. I rolled down the window to smell the rain on the soil. It was a perfect moment. Thank you...

Tom here from Woodland Hills. Saw the photo of you playing with my sidekick Keith. How real. Did you tell him you played with the Stones in 79/80? Ahhh yeah. I last saw you in Mpls at First Avenue July 2001. You, Lucinda, Bo and Essence. Met you outside after the show and gave you my pack of American Spirits. You said you were a simple man clad in vintage clothing with no tattoos and no piercings living out his passion. Does that still hold true? I am in Santa Fe and you will be soon...Monday, March 27th. You said, "Next time I'm in town be by the bus and I'll get you into the show." It may not be the same town but I would love to catch the show. Any chance? There'll be a pack of American Spirits in it for you.

Just caught your show with Lucinda in St. Louis. What a fantastic set! Is your red Les Paul vintage or a reissue? Either way, that P-90 sounds great!

Saw you and Lucinda at the Alladin in Portland, I think it was the first or second show of the tour? y'all were working out some details, it was very informal, loved it- and who doesn't Love Her? The sound there is always so exceptional- Tim Easton is an excellent opener for this format- one of the best shows I've ever had the pleasure of seeing- and your new CD- with Hank and Becky Mae- ROCKS

Doug i have seen you with Lu at Chastain in Atlanta, The Beacon in NYC and the Music Farm in Charlseton SC. In Charleston you signed a "World Without Tears" poster for my 7 yr old daughter who was in the hospital at the time recovering from surgury for a brain tumor. I want to thank you for taking the time do do that for her. She is doing great.

I saw you w/ Lucinda in santa Fe last fall. Great show. I also have played the fillmore live CD and world w/out tears till my Cd player cried mercy. incredible guitar work and great tones.
I design and modify guitar pedals. I have a Z vex Fuzz factory that I stuffed in a wah shell with 4 extra controls - I think you would love it!
I have many other unique effects that I would like you to hear. please email me if you get a chance. later!
